EUROHUMOR announces the XV edition of rhe international competition

REGULATIONS

Prizes - Total Money pool
11,000 ─euro shared out as follows:

1st prize - 5,000 ─euro
1,500 ─euro for each of the four section, of which 1,000 ─euro to the first prize for works realized with traditional techniques, 500 ─euro for the first classified artist for works realized by means of the computer. The SuperPrize of 5,000 ─euro will be awarded to the artist with the highest score in all the section. The works realized by means of the computer are not entitled to the SuperPrize.

Participation
The competition is by invitation and reserved to cartoonists, illustrators, graphic designers and artists who have won or have been nominated in the previous editions of Eurohumor. The artists who receive the present announcement are also specially invited and should dully fill in the entry form. 'Non-competition' works will also be accepted so that their authors may be invited to the next editions of this event. Those artists who may have access to this announcement through other channels (Internet, publication on specialized news bulletins) may send their complete curriculum vitae in order to allow the jury to specifically invite the artists concerned as from the present edition of the competition.

1. SCHOOL, A TEACHER OF LIFE?

2. THE PEACE ROUTE IN THE THIRD MILLENNIUM - Down the borders... up the new walls
3. EUROPA MADE IN CHINA - But is China so close?
4. FROM THE LANTERN TO THE NUCLEAR AGE - Energy: only food for modern man?

Technical Specifications
Entries: each artist may enter with a maximum of THREE (3) drawings for each theme
Size: 21 x 29,7 cm (standard A4 Uni size)
Technique: free on a sheet of paper
No passe-partout, frames or glass can be applied to the work.
Each work must bear the signature or initials of the artist at the front, with name, surname, address and telephone number and e-mail address indicated on the back.
Neither copies nor works already mentioned in any other graphic humor event will be accepted.
The works realized by means of the computer should be sent mounted on a sheet of paper with on the back the indication that the work has been done on the computer and with the original signature of the author.

Each participant must fill in the enclosed entry form with the necessary information. Deadline
The works should reach at the latest on NOVEMBER 12, 2006 (the post mark will provide the proof of the dispatch date) and should be sent (by post, carrier or personal delivery) to:

Jury
All the works that reach Eurohumor within the time limit will be examined and selected by the Jury, whose members will be notified on announcing the winners.

Exhibition and Catalogue
Exhibitions for each the of the suggested theme will be organized and a catalogue with the best works will published.

Use All entries received by the secretary's office may be used for publication, reproduction and any other type of exploitation (included the publication on web pages), aimed at the promotion of the Eurohumor International Biennal Event and of the Humor Museum of Borgo San Dalmazzo and for any pubblications related to the Humor Town. All the competition participants implicitly accept this rule and agree to the display of their work in one or more exhibitions which will be organized after this event and to the eventual publication of these works in catalogues, books, posters, bookmarks, T-shirts or caps, calendars or agendas and on any means of service information requested or organized by the Prize Secretary's office or by Associazione Primalpe, organizer of this competition. In any case, the name of the author, his country and the indication of the Eurohumor event will be mentioned. The works will be made available for the Humor Museum which is being organized in Borgo San Dalmazzo; therefore, the participation to the competition includes the donation of the works to the Associazione Primalpe which organizes the competition. Anyway, within the end of June 2007, those who wish their works to be returned should write a letter to the Secretary's office and ask to have them back at the conclusion of the competition: the works will only be given back to the authors at the end of the exhibitions and anyway within the end of December 2007.
