Cartoon-Festival "Censorship"

Cartoon-Festival Censorship

Participation:

All cartoonists with a minimum age of 18 are eligible for the international contest.

Themes:
Censorship and manipulation
Influence on the media (e.g. by politics)
Inszenierung of politics for the media
Transmittals (max. 5 works):
- Original drawings or signed prints (no copies), black and white or coloured, sized between DIN-A 4 and DIN-A 3
(Framed works are not taken into account!)
- The artworks must not have been exhibited in Germany yet.
- On the backside of each artwork, surname, name and the title of the work are to be stated.
- Together with the works, the completed application form, a photo or a portrait-caricature, a short vita and an introduction (max. 280 characters) are to be submitted for the catalogue.

Jury:
Among all submitted artworks, the jury will decide on their exposition and rewards.

Catalogue:
The Zeitungsverlag Aachen will publish a catalogue in association with the KuK e.V.
With assistance of the International Newspaper Museum in Aachen and the social and cultural trust of the LVR
All awarded artworks become the property of the KuK e.V.
Furthermore, the association has the right to keep one work from each participant whose artworks have been exposed.
These works will be auctioned off at year-end. The proceeds will be used for the promotion of cultural projects at district schools.

4. -6. Place 500 €
Up to 80 artworks can be exposed.

June till December 2007 in Aachen

Return:
All artworks that do not become property of the Kuk e.V. will be returned at the expense of the organiser.
The reshipments will be prepared and carried out with reasonable care.
