Я на днях послал несколько картинок.
И вдруг увидел список жюри с этой бабой. Тут же написал организаторам и попросил аннулировать мое участие.
А сегодня Ахмет Айканат попросил меня объяснить мой поступок. Пришлось ответить.

Dear Ahmet,
I have nothing against you and others!
I don't share the people, nor by color, nor by language nor by religion. But I've noticed in the jury list the person named Leila Alaiy, that constantly fakes results of International contests: particularly deletes all Jews from participants lists in her site...

Just one more case of discrimination by irancartoon.com
A few days ago the notorious web site posted a catalogue of the best cartoons participated in the Russian Karikaturum Cartoon contest. As usual the administration of irancartoon.com did it without permission of the organizers. As usual they throw away the drawings made by Israeli cartoonists including the winner of the First Grand Prix in the history of the contest. So, nothing is new. Just one more proof that irancartoon.com is happy to serve the conservative regime, that it is ready to discriminate artists based on their nationality. It does not matter for the owners of the site if they look foolish trying to hide any mentions of the Israelis - everybody in the cartoon world knows the names of the winners. There is just one thing that is important - to be loyal to the Mr. Ahmadinejad's cultural policy.

Please check the recent interview of Iranian cartoonist Kianoush Ramezani by Daryl Cagle.
The most interesting part for me was the history and the role of Iranian House of Cartoon
(irancartoon.com), the fact that this organization is working for the Iranian government
and is paid by the government for many many years.

The applicants of the Kalder Bursa Cartoon Contest ended.
A total of 807 works participated in the competition. The four-person front jury made the initial assessment. The front jury chose 180 cartoons. The results will be announced on February 6th. Please notify bursa@kalder.org with a certified document for objections to copies, similar and stolen works.
