Thanks to all participants of the Euro-kartoenale Kruishoutem ‘The Wall’ !
We are still uploading the entries that we received yesterday and there are some cartoons waiting in the post office (we can only collect them on Monday).

The next steps:
- Monday we will present you the jury members, every day one
- The live jury meeting will be on the 25th of January (Follow our stories on Facebook and Instagram)
- The 26th we will publish the cartoonists nominated for the prizes, the announcement of who did win which prize is only on the opening ceremony
- By the 4th of February you could check in the participation list if your cartoons are selected for the exhibition and catalogue
- The opening and prize distribution ceremony is on April the 21th

is updated so you can check online if one of your cartoons is selected for the exhibition catalogue and the exhibition in the European Cartoon Center this spring.

We really want to thank all 975 cartoonists for the participation. The jury had a very difficult job this year. The quality of the cartoons was extremely high, unfortunaly only 5% of the cartoons could be selected for the exhibition.

Therefore I would say to all of you who did not make it this year to continu participating to international cartoon contests, it only means that in this edition your entry was judged (a little bit) less good than the others. It is no overall evaluation of your talent and portfolio.

To some of you, experienced cartoonists, I can really say: you had better ideas before.
To a lot of the beginners, I would like to say: what a talent, just continu and I am sure we see you on the podium one day.

Who did win which prize will be announced at the award ceremony on Saturday the 20th of April 2019 in Kruishoutem.

The exhibition in the ECC will be from the 21th of April till the 30th of June, after that a smaller travelling exhibition will be organised.

Notice to all participants

All cartoonists who are selected for the catalogue do receive automatically a copy in the beginning of May.
All participating cartoonists can get a free copy on request, however the postage costs are for their own account.
A diploma for all participants and selected cartoonists will be available in April
