There is a common problem for the artist participating in the international contests. He is often confused filling up the various entry forms by this very basic question: what is your Christian Name? A not very logical quiestion for a person from a muslim counttry, or even from Eastern Europe...

The following short text will help the artist to navigate through the coplicated forms.

Lets consider a common name: John Smith.

Then John will be a christian name, first name, given name, name, forename, voornaam, prénom, Vorname, nome, nombre

Smith - surname, family name, last name, name, Nachname, le nom
