International Cartoon Festival - SOLIN 2006 (CROATIA)

1. PARTICIPATION
The organizer of 2nd International festival of cartoon Solin 2006 is the city of Solin.
The festival is opened for everyone regardless of nationality, age, sex, or profession.

2. THEME: CAKES

3. ENTRIES
Conditions of entry:

1. All entries must be original cartoons. Framed works,also,will not be accepted.
2. Entries can be either black and white or colored.
3. There should be the name, surname and the address on the reverse side of cartoons.
4. Maximum 3 entries will be submitted.
5. Maximum size of entries is A3 format(40x30cm)

Entry deadline is the 10.08.2006.

7. EXHIBITION
The exhibition will take place in the galery of the culture home „ZVONIMIR“ Solin on the 18.08.2006.

8. OTHER CONDITIONS
Authors of works that quality to the exhibition are given a presentation copy of the exhibition catalogue.The works will be returned only on the special reqest by the author. The postage EUR4 will be paid by author. The organizer reserves the right to reproduce the works sent to the festival, Solin 2006, as the advertising materia without being obliged to pay a fee to an author whose work may be used. The prize-winning works become property of the organizer.

This a protest public letter to the world of cartoon.
My name is Florian Doru Crihana and I am a cartoonists from Romania. The site of Tabriz Cartoonists Society makes publicity to the Cartoon Competition Solin Croatia. This is my protest against this competition. Last year I won the Second Prize of 500 Euros. I never received a sign from the organizers concerning this prize, no letter, no fax, no phone, no E-mail, no catalog, no money. The new rules of the competition doesn't include a telephone number, fax or E-mail address. Everybody should be careful with this competition.
