3d International Cartoon Exhibition - RHODES 2006 -GREECE (July 10, 2006)

Dear friends,
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. It is now obvious that the consequences of that accident have been far more serious than what was originally thought or, publically, admitted to be. Still, the international community cannot agree on the pros and cons of nuclear energy and continues to built nuclear plants ant nuclear weapons.
The world stands equally divided and undecided before a series of other issues that put in doubt its future, even its own existence: pollution, the green house effect, destruction of the Rain Forest, waste of water and other natural resources, poisoning of the earth with pesticides and fertilizers... the list goes on and on...
With this in mind, the question comes naturally: Where is our planet going? Where is mankind going? Where are we going? QUO VADIS, TERRA?
