The First Contest of Graphical Humor
INDUSTRIAL TECHNICAL ENGINEERING
Concurso de Humor Gráfico
The School of Industrial Technical Engineers of Lleida is opening the First Contest of Graphical Humor with the following basic conditions:
1. Any professional artist or amateur can participate in this contest.
2. The subject of the contest is the ENGINEERING or any other themes related to:
The Industrial Technical Engineer and...?
Labor Security? Quality?
Air filters, humidifiers?
Facilities (electrical, of air conditioning, cold, industrialists in general, fires, construction of ships...)?
Mechanics (industrial machinery...)?
Chemistry (chemical industry, process controls...)?
And also the accomplishment of projects and work directions
3. The participants can send to the contest all the works that wish, as long as they have not been awarded previously in another contest.
4. The works (solely viñetas) can be made in any pictorial technique, in unique format of A-4 size (210 mm x 297 mm) or proportional, in Catalan or Castilian language.
5. Please send works only by electronic mail, to humoralia@gmail.com, after scanning them to 300 points of resolution in format JPEG or JPG.
6. The deadline for entries is 15th of September of 2006.
7. The works must go accompanied of a card that includes the name, last names, address, telephone and e-mail address of the author.
8. The following Prizes will be granted:
First prize - 1000 euro,
Second prize - 500 euro,
Third prize - 250 euro.
The Jury can declare the Honorable prizes.
9. The decision of the Jury will be delivered to the winner during the second fortnight of September of 2006 by electronic mail, and it will publish itself later in the Web of Humoràlia (www.humoralia.org) and the CETILL (www.cetill.cat).
10. The decision of the Jury will be final.
11. The first 50 selected works will be exposed in the seat of the School of Industrial Technical Engineers of Lleida.
In addition a book of Muestra will be published.
12. The electronic version of works could be visited in the virtual gallery that will be published, after the celebration of the contest, in the vestibule Web of Humoràlia (www.humoralia.org) and in the Web of the School (www.cetill.cat).
13. The organizers reserve the right to spread and to reproduce the winning work without express authorization of the author or author, and without this represents no obligation with respect to the artist.
14. The participation in the contest supposes the complete acceptance of these conditions without any reservation.
The Jury will solve any doubts that can arise.
