Statement on the 20th International Humor Exhibition of Limeira, Brazil 2024

Dear artists, partners and friends,

It is with great respect for our audience and the thousands of artists who are part of this history that we announce the 21st International Humor Show of Limeira – 2025 edition, reaffirming our commitment to creative freedom, critical thinking and art as a tool for transformation.

We inform you, however, that the Municipal Government of Limeira has officially announced that it will not support the event this year, thus breaking a tradition of two decades of institutional partnership.

Even more serious: the support promised and approved for the 20th International Humor Show of Limeira 2024 has not been transferred to date, nor is there any forecast or willingness on the part of the current administration to fulfill this commitment.

Despite this, we continue. And we continue with strength, with affection and with art.
We are finalizing the preparations to launch the call for participation in this year's 21st International Humor Show of Limeira 2025, maintaining the plural and democratic proposal that defines us. The Salon will be held with the support of those who truly believe in culture as an essential asset: artists, supporters, independent partners and the public who follow us with affection and loyalty.

Our humor is still alive and well. And as always, sharp.
