Nesta quarta-feira, 14 de outubro, às 19h (Horário de Brasília), acontece a Premiação e Abertura do 6º Salão de Humor sobre Doação de Órgãos – Internacional! Um momento muito especial em que vamos celebrar a arte, a criatividade e anunciar as obras vencedoras desta edição!

Nesta edição, tivemos a alegria de receber 552 obras de 208 artistas, de 37 países, das quais 300 obras de 148 artistas, representando 31 países, foram selecionadas para compor o acervo do Salão!

Mais do que números, cada obra representa um olhar, uma história e uma contribuição para levar a conscientização sobre a doação de órgãos cada vez mais longe.

Clarifications and Updated Results of the 6th International Humor Exhibition on Organ
Donation

The Instituto GABRIEL, through the Organizing Committee of the 6th International Humor Exhibition on Organ Donation, hereby issues this official statement to address concerns regarding the possible use of artificial intelligence (AI) in award-winning works in this edition, as well as the criteria governing the distribution of awards.

Regarding the Disqualification of Works

During the selection stage, the organizing team used tools designed to detect potentially AI - generated content as a supplementary measure to verify compliance with the competition rules. At that time, the analyses conducted did not identify indications of AI use in the works that were subsequently awarded prizes.

Following the announcement of the results, we received concerns from participating artists, including artists from different countries, who raised questions about the possible use of this technology in works submitted by one of the award-winning artists.

In response to these concerns, we conducted additional verifications using different analytical tools.
The results were inconsistent, highlighting the need for further investigation, as these technologies have limitations and cannot, on their own, provide definitive conclusions.
For this reason, we contacted the artist directly, requesting clarifications and additional materials that would allow us to better understand the creative process and verify the authorship of the works.
The analysis of the materials submitted, together with the other information gathered during the investigation, revealed inconsistencies that prevented sufficient validation of the creative authorship process presented. Further clarifications were requested, but it was not possible to complete the verification based on the evidence provided.

After evaluating all available information, submitted materials, and requested clarifications, the Organizing Committee decided to disqualify the works “Murray 5”, “Murray 1”, “Murray 2”, and “Sabbaga 4”, pursuant to Sections 5 and 10 of the Official Rules of the 6th International Humor Exhibition on Organ Donation. Section 5 establishes that works produced, in whole or in part, using Artificial Intelligence will not be accepted, while Section 10 provides for the automatic disqualification of works that do not comply with the competition rules.
We recognize that this situation requires care and responsibility. Therefore, we sought to conduct a thorough verification before making a decision that would affect the results and the artists involved.

Following the disqualification, the results of the Caricature category were updated in accordance with the rankings established by the original evaluations of the Awards Jury.

В контексте данного конкурса было бы логично, чтобы авторы картинок прилагали бы ещё свои медицинские анализы. А прецедент, хороший.
